Privacy notice
Plain-English summary of what this site stores and why.
Who we are
Zero Lives Left is a volunteer-run gaming community. This notice covers https://zerolivesleft.net and our Discord bot.
What we store
- Your Discord identity: Discord user ID, username, display name, server nickname and avatar, and a history of names you've used. You sign in with Discord, so we never see your password or email.
- Community data: your role, region, platforms, games, bio, applications you submit, event RSVPs, racing results and any accounts you choose to link (Steam, EA, PlayStation, Xbox).
- Discord activity counts: how many messages you send and how long you spend in voice channels, per day. We count; we never read or store message content.
- Security records: the IP address of your last login, an audit log of staff actions, and bans.
Why
- To run the community: membership, recruitment, ranks, events and the league (legitimate interests).
- To keep members safe: storing Discord IDs and name history lets moderators trace and ban people who break our zero-tolerance rules, even if they change names (legitimate interests).
- Applications ask you to confirm you are 18 or over. We store that you confirmed it and when, not your date of birth.
How long
Activity counts older than 13 months are deleted. Sessions expire after 30 days. Ban records and the Discord ID and names of banned users are kept while the ban is active. Everything else is kept while you're a member; ask us to delete it when you leave.
Your rights
You can download your data from Profile settings at any time. To correct or delete your data, or to object to processing, contact a staff member in Discord. You can also complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
